Graduate Studies
Our graduate programs have earned ample recognition in the national and international scientific community and, because of their excellence, are registered in the Ministry of Education - CONACYT National Graduate Quality Program (PNPC). These programs follow the lines of research in the scientific Divisions of the Center and their goal is the development of human resources at the masters and Ph.D. level, capable of carrying out high-quality scientific research and teaching.
Almost all of CICESE’s students, Mexican and foreign, are full-time and have scholarships granted by national and international organisms.
Master of science and doctoral degrees are granted in:
- Aquaculture
- Computer Science
- Earth Science, with options in Environmental Geoscience, Applied Geophysics, Geology and Seismology
- Electronics and Telecommunications, with options in Telecommunications, Control and High Frequencies
- Life Sciences
- Marine Ecology
- Optics, with options in Physical Optics and Optoelectronics
- Physical Oceanography
Interinstitutional Programs
- Master and doctoral degrees in Physics of Materials, with an option in Physical Chemistry, in collaboration with the Centro de Nanociencias y Nanotecnología (Center of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology) of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
- Master in Integrated Environmental Administration, in collaboration with the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF)
